Detailed Description

Upland Bird Hunting In Northeastern Oregon
We've hunted on multiple bird preserves throughout the country, and this is the best we've encountered due to unmatched habitat, wily birds, beautiful accommodations, a friendly staff and a glorious setting. A perfect blend of multiple food plots and native grasses have ensured birds will reproduce in the wild, which is what makes this gorgeous property so challenging to hunt.

With two lodging options, hunters can overlook the riverbottom being hunted, or all of the surrounding landscape from the big lodge perched atop a cliff. You'll see mule deer, whitetail deer, turkeys, ducks, geese and more, which are a testimony to the quality of habitat this destination exhibits.

In Oregon, bird hunting on preserves begins in late summer and ends on March 31. If looking for extended hunting opportunities, and a prime piece of real estate packed with smart birds to work your gun dog, this is it. Due to the prime feed these birds have available, they offer top-notch table fare.

Hunters can expect to come away with ringneck and melanistic pheasants, as well as chukar, valley and bobwhite quail, if you can hit ‘em. Occasionally, an exotic pheasant is introduced to the field; this season, multiple hunters have gone home with a bonus Reeve's Pheasant, one of the biggest, most stunning pheasants in the world.

We've been to this property many times, and already have plans to return. There's a reason we keep taking family and friends to this special place, one that, before you're done, you'll be planning your return to.
